| The manufacturer of solid hardwood floors Junckers, Køge/DK, closed the first half of 2008 with a loss of DKK 11.4 million (€ 1.53 million) (2007: DKK 9.4 milion resp. € 1.26 of profit). The fall in turnover is larger than expected from DKK 378.8 million (€ 50.8 million) to DKK 289 million (€ 38.76 million). This was partly due to a sharp decline in sales to the largest markets in
Denmark, Spain, Ireland, the USA and the UK. For the two last markets a deterioration of
the exchange rates of the American dollar and pound sterling has further reduced both turnover
and gross margin. Therefore, the result from ordinary activities
for the full year is expected to be close to the actual negative result for the first half-year. |
